Project Film Time Capsule: The 2013 #treyhawkwalk in San Francisco and SF in general

Remember the “TreyHawkWalk” post from a few years ago in San Francisco?

Remember the “TreyHawkWalk” post from a few years ago in San Francisco?

Last month I hosted a Local Guides meetup day event with the Cleveland Insiders (our unofficial Google Local Guides chapter). We had a blast! Tess, Pete, Chris, Ryan, Erin, and myself met up at the Soldiers’ and Sailors monument. This monument dates back to the Civil War and has a very cool interior, including scenes from when Lincoln’s body was in Cleveland. After we had chatted for a bit, we headed over to the 5th Street Arcade.

4 Dreamforces in a row. Damn. I never thought I would say that!

I was very lucky to get an Apple Watch for my birthday.

This past week I got to attend the Halo: Master Chief Collection midnight launch at the Microsoft store in Beachwood. While I didn’t pick up my copy there (preordered from Amazon), I did want to experience the joy that is a midnight launch party again. Why would I attend a midnight launch of a game during a “school night”? The answer lies roughly 11 years in the past.

Last week, I boarded a plane with a few of my coworkers and flew back to my former home (San Francisco) for one of the largest conferences that city can hold- Dreamforce. This was an culmination of months of top-secret work that a variety of coworkers and I worked on to build something completely new. It is called Prototype Playground- a place where the enterprise could see what we are learning about and creating when it comes to wearable technology. During the conference, it was a huge hit. As the dust settles, we discovered what we pulled off was nothing short of astonishing.
