Last month I hosted a Local Guides meetup day event with the Cleveland Insiders (our unofficial Google Local Guides chapter). We had a blast! Tess, Pete, Chris, Ryan, Erin, and myself met up at the Soldiers’ and Sailors monument. This monument dates back to the Civil War and has a very cool interior, including scenes from when Lincoln’s body was in Cleveland. After we had chatted for a bit, we headed over to the 5th Street Arcade.
While we were in the in air-conditioned goodness of the Arcade, we wandered into several shops that were open. From a place that makes custom and bespoke bow ties, to a cool shop that has very bartending supplies – we saw a variety of stores! On the way out of the arcade, we stopped into Pour and hit Rocket Fizz on our way to Butcher and Brewer.
While we were at Butcher and Brewer, we grabbed a round and some appetizers while we finished our conversations. From there our group split up and went our separate ways. Part of the group met up with Jules and Cooper to head over to Progressive Field to watch the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago White Sox.
I had an awesome time with a new group of friends and can’t wait to tour more places. Interested in attending a Cleveland Insiders event? Join the G+ group here.
