This was one of my first store openings. Definitely the first with a keg.
When I was on the Photojojo #pjgram photowalk, the head photographer Kim alluded to something big coming in November. Being a fan of Photojojo, I was curious to find out what they had in store. Turns out it was a store. No seriously, they opened up a pop-up store for the holiday directly below their HQ in the Mission.
A hush-hush email was sent out last week with invites and Jules and I naturally accepted. We drove up to check it out. It was probably the coolest store opening experience I’ve ever had. Besides the fact I got to see familiar faces (even people who didn’t work at Photojojo), the place was packed. They had an excellent turnout and I’m excited to see how the store does this holiday season.
Jules and I decided to take the plunge and bought a cheap “polaroid” camera (technically its a Fujifilm). Jules has already taken a liking to it and I really enjoy seeing how her eyes light up when she talks about it. Hopefully our future kids will take to photography with the same passion that we have/ are developing. (Get it?)
(Not related to the party but a cool place we found on the way to the party)
